Turbine’s “Game Dev Showcase” will showcase their many facets of AAA game design, game production, game development and game support to the greater Boston game community as well as to the many game design academic programs in the Boston area and beyond.
Concurrently, Microsoft Technical Evangalists and XNA Developers will be hosting workshops on various topics such as HTML5, Game Development, and XNA Development.
Unlike a normal speaker-panel event, this night will be as functional and as useful as possible: Many areas of Turbine's dynamic studio (over 550 professionals) will be represented with their own space for specific discussions covering some of the lesser known components to the interactive entertainment industry.
Turbine will occupy the 10th/11th floor of the NERD, while Microsoft Technical Evangalists and XNA Developers will host small game publishing and game platform workshops on the 1st floor of the NERD Center. Attendees are encouraged to move between the two floors to engage the members of Microsoft and Warner Bros. Games peoples regarding their specific areas of interest and expertise.
All Boston Indies, Boston Port Mortem, Boston-ara game development academic programs and any interested individuals are invited to attend.
