FEATURED PROGRAM - CITY OF CAMBRIDGE YOUTH PROGRAMS

Through a gift of software, cash, and a dedicated teaching professional, Microsoft is working with the City of Cambridge Youth Programs to help them build new curriculum, focused on technology for their after-school audiences. A teaching professional, supplied with support from Citizen Schools, has built several beginning teaching modules that are being rolled out in spring programming. These modules are designed to help students harness the power of technology in context that is meaningful to them and to deepen their understanding of how to solve hard problems with technology.

  • Head of The Charles

    Microsoft is an annual sponsor and exhibitor at the Head Of The Charles Regatta®, the world's largest two-day rowing event. The Head of the Charles was first held on October 16th, 1965. Over the past 45 years, the Head Of The Charles regatta has grown tremendously. Today, more than 7,500 athletes from around the world compete in 55 different race events. The Regatta grew to a two-day event in 1997 and now attracts up to 300,000 spectators during the October weekend.

The Kendall Square Association was formed by a group of like-minded people in Kendall Square who saw an opportunity to improve, promote and protect Kendall Square through the collaboration of the organizations based there. On October 16th 2008, these 49 individuals representing 37 organizations with a presence in Kendall Square met and formed the Kendall Square Association.
